A leading artificial grass provider in Bath has helped to transform a caravan ahead of its appearance on a Channel 4 series called ‘Amazing Spaces’ this October.
Richard and Ali Parker from Longeny Gloucestershire were looking for a way to restore a dilapidated caravan, named The Warwick Knight, to its former glory for the TV series and they called on LazyLawn to help provide a solution.
Inspired by a 1950s photograph of The Warwick Knight in its prime, Richard and Ali worked with LazyLawn to recreate the original roof garden on the caravan.
18 square metres of Wonder Yarn 26mm were used in the upcycling project which saw artificial grass being installed on top of the caravan.
Ali said: “We stumbled upon this wonderful wreckage (nicknamed ‘cattle shed on wheels’) and we had a vision. For us it was all about the roof garden.
“We contacted Channel 4 to let them know about our exciting project and they couldn’t resist getting involved. Filming the project was fantastic and Lee Giles from LazyLawn really helped us bring our vision to reality. The roof garden is simply beautiful and really makes the whole project worth it.”
Lee said: “This was such a great project to be involved with and we’re delighted with the final result.
“The caravan really was stunning in its day and we wanted to recreate the unique garden that sat on top of it. It was fantastic seeing our masterpiece on Channel 4 and we hope Richard and Ali enjoy their upcycled ‘Amazing Space’.”
