
Members of the Society of Garden Designers (SGD) have swept the board at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this week, winning 15 medals and two of the three prestigious best in category titles granted by the RHS.
In total, six Gold medals, two Silver-Gilt, three Silver and one Bronze were awarded to members. The coveted ‘Best Show Garden’ award went to James Basson MSGD and Kate Gould took the ‘Best Fresh Garden’ title.
Only four Gold medals were granted to the eight Show Gardens at this year’s event, of which three were awarded to SGD Members. The medals included:

Lee Bestall MSGD – 500 Years of Covent Garden (MA 326)
Tracy Foster MSGD – Welcome to Yorkshire (MA 321)
Fiona Cadwallader MSGD – The Poetry Lovers Garden (AR 566)
Bronze Medal
Jack Dunkley – The Bermuda Triangle (FR 87)
In addition, the RHS awarded the Society’s own stand on Eastern Avenue (EA 495) a 3-star certificate.
