Returning for his 12th year at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Ishihara’s garden is inspired by the Kyoto Palace, the Kyoto residence of Japanese emperors. The garden will express the communal spirit which allowed the imperial family to continue for two millennia, and can be admired from all aspects. Moss will be used to represent the passage of time, alongside a selection of plants typically found in Japanese gardens, and pine and acer will provide natural shapes of trees. Sponsored by Cat’s Co, the contractor for this garden is Ishihara Kazuyuki Design Laboratory Co.
