International landscape, master planning and urban design consultancy Gillespies has added a new partner and made eight senior promotions across its four UK offices as part of an annual round of promotions Armel Mourgue has been promoted to Partner in acknowledgement of 15 years dedicated service and exceptional project and office management. Based in Gillespies’ London office, Armel has provided design leadership for many of the practice’s high profile and award-winning projects including MediaCityUK, a creative media hub in Salford, Crossrail Station Roof Garden, the first development to open as part of Crossrail, and the RIBA Stirling Prize-shortlisted NEO Bankside in London.
Robert Copeland, Oliver Duguid and David Cunningham have become Associates and will support the London management team with an expanding portfolio of work. Gorana Shephard has also been made a Senior Associate and will continue to develop Gillespies’ urban design and master planning portfolio in the south region.
In addition, Jon Clokie has joined Gillespies’ London office as a new Associate and is leading the technical landscape delivery of a number of projects in the Middle East. In the Oxford office, Philip Smith has been promoted to Senior Associate in recognition of his hard work, technical expertise, management skills and continued client dedication. Philip has delivered many of firm’s cultural and leisure projects including Shakespeare’s New Place in Stratford-upon-Avon.
In Manchester, Warren Chapman is now an Associate Partner, with Helen Johnson becoming an Associate to support the senior management team who are currently delivering a number of landmark projects across the region. Adam Greatrix – based in Leeds – has also been promoted to Associate Partner. Adam has been instrumental in the success of a number of landscape projects in the region, in particular, the award winning Hebburn Central.
