Landform Consultants lead designer, Catherine MacDonald has been awarded her first RHS Chelsea Flower Show gold medal for her artisan garden for Seedlip, the world’s first non-alcoholic spirit.
Catherine said of her achievement: “I couldn’t be happier. To be awarded with a gold medal at Chelsea is a dream come true. From the very beginning, this garden has felt like the perfect fit for us, it has brought together both my design and science side and we have thoroughly enjoyed working with the team at Seedlip. Their enthusiasm and passion is infectious and the whole process has been a true collaboration.”
The leading landscape construction and design team have been highly commended for their work on two show gardens, one artisan garden and the RHS garden feature, Nigel Dunnett’s Greening Grey Britain, at this year’s iconic event. Landform Consultant’s total medal haul added up to one gold and two silver medals.
Affectionately known as “the construction king of Chelsea”, Mark Gregory, managing director of Landform Consultants, is a veteran of RHS Chelsea Flower Show having spent more than three years of his life on the grounds of the Royal Hospital.
Mark said of the team’s achievements: “This year’s show has been fantastic. I’m extremely proud of the Landform team and I’m so proud of what we have achieved. It’s only the second ever Chelsea build for the team that worked on Catherine’s garden so to see them gain a gold medal is a great achievement and worthy recognition of all their hard wort. We now have our sights firmly set on RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. We are building the Landform Urban Rain Garden, designed by our newest design recruit, Rhiannon Williams, in conjunction with Squires.”
