National green services provider Glendale has appointed Daniela Blomeley to manage its new contract to provide grounds maintenance for social housing provider Stockport Homes.
Daniela will be responsible for overseeing a team of operatives carrying out grass cutting, shrub maintenance, litter clearance and weed control in communal areas and residential gardens across Stockport to enhance the environment and benefit local people.
The 36-year-old began her career through Glendale’s graduate scheme, before studying Horticulture at Myerscough College which involved undertaking work experience as a gardener at Tatton Park, Knutsford. She also has a degree in management sciences from Loughborough University.
She joins from landscaping company Flora-Tec where she held the role of contract manager, following a role at green services provider Ground Control.
Glendale has provided grounds maintenance for Stockport Homes for the past ten years, and has recently been awarded a new five-year contract.
Alan Wilkins, regional director for the north at Glendale said: “Daniela has an abundance of experience and industry knowledge which makes her the right candidate to take control of the new Stockport Homes contract. She’s a fantastic example of how far our graduate scheme can take people.
“Local communities are at the heart of much of the work Glendale does and under Daniela’s leadership the team will maintain outdoor spaces for all to enjoy and be proud of.”
Daniela added: “I was fortunate to be given my start in the industry through its graduate scheme so it’s fitting I return to Glendale to take up this new challenge. With experience at both operative and managerial level, I’ll be able to relate to how all aspects of a contract work together to deliver successful outcomes and I’m looking forward to working with the team.”
